Elevate Your Wellness
The snow is falling, the slopes are calling, and we're all geared up and freshly waxed (our skis, of course.) Now that we're in ski season, our wellness routines may look different. You could replace the cold plunge with the hot tub soak. Or do both, and we'll be seriously impressed. The moisturizer on your counter could swap from oil control to deeply hydrating. And your go-to breakfast could go from a smoothie bowl to an egg scramble. The point is that the weather has dropped, and with it, our routines will swap. Let's look at some of WellAmi's favorite winter wellness trends to keep your routine at peak performance.
Winter Wellness #1
Skincare for thin air.
If you're spending time in the mountains this winter, remember the altitude can be harsh on our skin. The combination of dry skin and cold air can leave our skin cracked, chapped, and begging for moisture. We have a few favorite ways to add extra moisture before hitting the mountains. One is with a moisturizing SPF. The temperature may be low, but the UV rays are still high. We also love incorporating oils into our routine. (The Squaline and Vitamin C oil from Biossance is excellent for moisture and texture.)
Winter Wellness #2
Hydrate your strands.
You know those two little front pieces of hair you pull out of your helmet that flow in the crisp breeze while you rocket down the slopes? Those pieces, along with the rest of your hair shoved under a neck gaiter, need some extra TLC during the cold winter conditions. Consider adding a deep conditioning mask to your hair care routine, or add some extra hair oil at the ends.
Winter Wellness #3
Seasonal sips
We don't always love to follow the viral trends here at WellAmi, but when someone throws the word "chocolate" around, we listen. Of course, we're talking about the bone broth hot chocolate. This seasonal sip includes the classic hot chocolate ingredients: milk (we like MALK,) cacao powder, maple syrup (or your sweetener of choice,) and vanilla (we opt for the powdered vanilla.) Oh, and one last ingredient. BONE BROTH. It wouldn't be the viral bone broth hot chocolate without some bone broth (we like Kettle&Fire classic beef bone broth.) Turn on the stove and grab your favorite holiday mugs for this delicious, chocolatey treat.
