What’s in our Aprés Bag?

Essentials for on and off the slopes.

What starts as an epic day on powder-filled terrain quickly turns into an afternoon of aprés and bubbles. And when the music begins and the skiing stops, you want to make sure you feel your best for the take-off-your-helmet reveal. Here are some products in our jacket pockets to ensure we feel fresh for an evening of fun.

Lip balm: no one wants to sip hot cocoa with dry, chapped lips.

But in a sea of lip products, which is best for the mountain? Do you use a tinted gloss to add extra color on a cold day? Or a lip peptide for a softer, fuller lip? Why not both? We keep two lip products in our aprés ski bag: an SPF-infused lip balm while you're hitting the slopes and a tinted lip while you're sipping a spritz. P.S. Bring a multi-use balm to apply color to your lips and cheeks.

Tinted SPF: yes, even on a cloudy day.

Just because the sun has dipped behind the mountains doesn’t mean you’re off the hook for sun protection. UV rays reflect off the snow and can leave you with a painful burn or a hard-to-blend-in goggle tan. Throw in a moisturizing SPF to keep you covered from a burn. Bonus points if it’s tinted for a little extra coverage.

Perfume: you hit the slopes hard, and we can smell, I mean tell.

A small roll-on perfume bottle will ensure you smell as fresh as a daisy after a day on black diamonds. Make sure to find a non-toxic perfume to keep your scent and skin in check. If you want to roll two products into one, consider a scented moisturizing hand cream.

Snack Bar: just in case.

Alright, maybe you're planning to have some small bites at the aprés, but what happens when they don't have a dairy-free option, or the small bites look more like big sips? A small protein or snack bar in your pocket ensures you stay fueled for the slopes and happy at the bar.

Eye drops: and it's not what you're thinking.

This one might be tailored to my contact-wearing crowd, but having eye drops in your pocket can be a lifesaver after a full day of skiing. In high altitude and cold weather, it's normal for our eyes to dry up, especially when we're zipping down the mountain. And though I'm sure you have a pair of sunglasses for later, this one is all about the feel, and no one wants to feel uncomfortable in their red eyes or dried-up contacts.

Pack these five essential wellness products in your pockets before you hit the slopes to ensure a feel good day and even better aprés.
